Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
15 ounces tomato sauce
15 ounces crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.
2. Add diced onion and garlic to the beef and sauté until onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
3. Stir in the tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
5. Add cooked pasta to the meat sauce and mix until fully combined.
6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and cover until melted or bake at 375°F for 10 minutes until bubbly.
Notes
Aged cheddar adds extra flavor if you want a sharper cheese finish.
You can sneak in vegetables like bell pepper or zucchini for added nutrition.
