Description
These Cinnamon Roll Muffins are soft, fluffy, and packed with sweet cinnamon swirls. This quick and easy muffin recipe has all the cozy flavor of traditional cinnamon rolls without yeast or waiting for dough to rise. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or sweet snacks.
Ingredients
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup milk
⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for filling)
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to make the swirl filling.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
4. In another bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla until combined.
5. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.
6. Add 1 tablespoon of batter into each muffin liner. Add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon filling, then top with more batter.
7. Use a toothpick to gently swirl the filling through the batter.
8. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let muffins cool slightly.
9. Mix powdered sugar with milk or cream to create glaze. Drizzle over warm muffins before serving.
Notes
Always swirl gently so the batter doesn’t overmix.
You can double the cinnamon filling if you love a strong swirl.
Don’t overbake; check at 15 minutes for soft, moist muffins.
