Description

These Chocolate Maraschino Cherry Coconut Truffles are an easy no-bake dessert packed with sweet cherries, shredded coconut, and a rich chocolate coating. Perfect for holidays, gifts, and party trays, they deliver indulgent flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

1 jar maraschino cherries, drained and patted dry

2 cups sweetened shredded coconut

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 cup powdered sugar

2 cups melting chocolate or chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (optional)


Instructions

1. Remove maraschino cherries from the jar and place them on a paper towel. Pat them dry thoroughly.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and powdered sugar until a sticky dough forms.

3. Flatten a small scoop of the coconut mixture in your hand, place a cherry in the center, and mold the coconut around it to form a ball.

4. Repeat with remaining cherries and chill the balls on a parchment-lined tray for 30 minutes.

5. Melt the chocolate with coconut oil or shortening (if using).

6. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate and place back on the tray.

7. Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.

Notes

These truffles taste even better after chilling overnight.
