Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
1 egg, for egg wash
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and flour until a dough forms. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
2. Unfold puff pastry on a floured surface. Roll lightly to even it out and slice in half horizontally.
3. Spread cookie dough mixture evenly over one half. Lay the other half on top and press gently.
4. Cut into 1-inch wide strips. Twist each strip and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Brush with beaten egg.
6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
7. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These are best served slightly warm for gooey centers.
For extra sweetness, dust with powdered sugar after baking.
