Description

Cheesy Jumbo Lump Crab Au Gratin is a decadent seafood dish featuring sweet jumbo lump crab meat baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce. With bold Southern flavors and a golden bubbly top, this comforting au gratin makes an easy yet impressive main course or appetizer. Perfect for holidays, dinner parties, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

8 oz jumbo lump crab meat

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

2 green onions, chopped

1/2 tsp paprika (plus more for topping)

1/2 tsp Creole seasoning

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, parmesan, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, paprika, Creole seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.

3. Gently fold in the jumbo lump crab meat, keeping the lumps intact.

4. Transfer mixture to a small baking dish or cast-iron skillet.

5. Top with additional cheddar cheese and a light dusting of paprika.

6. Bake for 20 minutes until bubbling and hot.

7. Broil for 2–3 minutes to brown the top, watching carefully.

8. Serve immediately with toasted bread, crostini, or crackers.

Notes

Use jumbo lump crab for best texture and flavor.

Don’t overmix the crab to keep lumps whole and meaty.

You can prep ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
