Description

This cheesy garlic Cajun chicken bowtie pasta in Alfredo sauce is the ultimate comfort food with a bold Cajun twist. It combines tender chicken, creamy Alfredo, and melty cheese with smoky spice and bowtie pasta, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or indulgent weekend treat.

Ingredients

2 cups bowtie pasta

2 chicken breasts

1 ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Slice the chicken breasts into bite-sized chunks and season them with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. Boil bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and let it simmer for a few minutes.

5. Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

6. Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the sauce. Toss everything together until coated. Use reserved pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.

7. Serve hot, optionally garnished with parsley or extra Parmesan.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the pasta—al dente texture works best.

Let the cheese melt gradually over low heat to avoid clumping.

Leftovers reheat better with a splash of milk or cream.
