Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 small yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 ounces cream cheese
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Boil pasta in salted water until just al dente, then drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
3. Add chopped onion and garlic, cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Reduce heat and stir in cream cheese and half of the cheddar until melted and smooth.
6. Fold in the cooked macaroni and mix well to coat every piece with sauce.
7. Transfer mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
9. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use rotini or shells if you don’t have elbow macaroni.
