Description

Ingredients

12 oz linguine

1 lb beef strips (sirloin or flank steak)

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tbsp butter

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season beef with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Sear until browned, then set aside.

2. Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Add remaining Cajun seasoning.

4. Toss in cooked linguine. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

5. Return beef to skillet. Stir in Parmesan and cream if using. Toss everything together until well coated.

6. Finish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Let the beef rest for a couple of minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melt and flavor.

Add extra Cajun seasoning for more heat, or cut back for a milder dish.
