10 ounces twisted pasta (rotini or gemelli)

Instructions
1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and coat evenly with Cajun seasoning.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until golden and fully cooked, then remove and set aside.
3. Cook twisted pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer until slightly thickened.
6. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Add some reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
7. Return cooked chicken to the skillet and mix well to heat everything through.
