Description

This Broccoli Casserole Delight recipe is the ultimate comfort food, combining tender broccoli, creamy mushroom sauce, cheddar cheese, and a buttery cracker topping. Perfect as a main or side dish, it’s easy to make and great for family dinners or holiday gatherings. Keywords: broccoli casserole, cheesy broccoli bake, vegetable casserole recipe, creamy broccoli dish.

Ingredients

2 cups broccoli florets

1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)

1 cup sour cream

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup crushed buttery crackers

3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

2. If using fresh broccoli, steam or blanch the florets until just tender. If using frozen, thaw and drain thoroughly.

3. In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.

4. Gently fold the broccoli into the creamy mixture until the florets are fully coated.

5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly with a spatula.

6. In a small bowl, mix crushed buttery crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.

7. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the edges are bubbling.

8. Allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving. This helps it set and makes it easier to scoop.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen broccoli depending on availability.

Don’t skip the cracker topping—it adds the perfect crunch.

You can add cooked chicken or bacon for a protein boost.
