Ingredients
1 cup whole milk
2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 large egg
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons strawberry or raspberry powder
¾ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened, for filling)
4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon strawberry or raspberry powder (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Warm the milk until just above room temperature and stir in the sugar and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and strawberry powder. Add yeast mixture, egg, and softened butter. Knead until dough is smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours.
3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread with butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
4. Roll dough into a log and slice into rolls. Place in greased baking dish. Let rise 30 minutes.
5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until lightly golden.
6. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and berry powder until smooth. Spread glaze over warm rolls.
