Ingredients

2 pounds russet potatoes

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 cloves garlic (optional)

2 tablespoons chopped chives (optional)


Instructions

1. Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks.

2. Place them in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt.

3. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.

4. In a separate saucepan, warm the butter, heavy cream, and milk over low heat.
