Description

This BBQ Cheddar Meatloaf recipe is a cheesy, comforting twist on classic meatloaf, featuring juicy ground beef, melted cheddar, and a sweet BBQ glaze. It’s an easy, crowd-pleasing dinner perfect for family meals, with freezer-friendly leftovers and bold, smoky flavor.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs

½ cup milk

1 large egg

⅓ cup BBQ sauce (plus more for topping)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet or into a greased loaf pan.

5. Spread a generous layer of BBQ sauce over the top of the meatloaf.

6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

7. Remove from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

8. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes

This meatloaf can be made ahead and stored in the fridge or freezer.

Use any BBQ sauce you like—sweet, smoky, or spicy—to change the flavor profile.

Letting the meatloaf rest before slicing ensures juicy, clean slices every time.
