Description

Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps are a healthy, low-carb dinner idea made with lean ground turkey, fresh lettuce leaves, and bold Asian flavors like soy sauce and sesame oil. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or light lunch with fewer carbs and lots of flavor.

Ingredients

450g ground turkey 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 teaspoon sesame oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 2 green onions, chopped 1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated and washed

Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until it begins to brown, breaking it into small crumbles with a spoon. Stir in minced garlic and freshly grated ginger. Cook for another minute until fragrant, making sure not to burn the garlic. Pour in soy sauce, a splash of rice vinegar, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Stir well to coat the turkey evenly and cook for another 3–4 minutes until everything is combined and heated through. Remove the skillet from heat and toss in chopped green onions. Give everything a final stir. Spoon the warm turkey mixture into cleaned lettuce leaves. Serve immediately, letting everyone build their own wraps at the table if desired.

Notes

Keep the lettuce leaves dry and crisp by washing them just before serving. You can make the turkey filling a day ahead and reheat before serving. Feel free to add toppings like shredded carrots, chopped peanuts, or chili flakes for extra crunch and flavor.
