Description
A crisp and creamy apple salad recipe made with fresh apples, crunchy celery, toasted walnuts, and a tangy yogurt or mayo dressing. Perfect for fall side dishes or year-round meal prep. Includes natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup for balanced flavor.
Ingredients
2 medium apples
2 ribs celery
1/2 cup walnuts
1/3 cup Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Wash, core, and thinly slice the apples. Peeling is optional.
2. Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice in a large bowl to prevent browning.
3. Dice the celery and chop the walnuts, then add to the bowl with the apples.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt (or mayo), honey (or maple syrup), salt, and pepper.
5. Pour the dressing over the apple mixture and gently stir to combine.
6. Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving for best flavor.
Notes
Keep the dressing separate if making ahead to preserve texture.
Use a mix of apple varieties for depth in flavor.
Can be topped with protein to make a light main dish.
