Description

These Almond Crescent Cookies are buttery, delicate, and filled with rich almond flavor. The perfect melt-in-your-mouth holiday cookie made with almond flour, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Ideal for Christmas cookie trays, tea time, or edible gifts.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

0.5 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

0.5 teaspoon almond extract

1.75 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup almond flour

0.25 teaspoon salt

0.5 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Cream together the unsalted butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add in vanilla and almond extract, mixing until incorporated.

3. Gently stir in all-purpose flour, almond flour, and salt until a dough forms.

4. Roll small pieces of dough into logs and shape into crescents.

5. Place crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

6. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 15-18 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.

7. While still warm, dust with powdered sugar. Once cooled, dust again.

Notes

These cookies are very delicate, so let them cool completely before moving.

Double dusting with powdered sugar gives that classic snowy finish.

For a flavor twist, dip the ends in melted chocolate once cooled.
